Hello Everyone, I hope you had a relaxing three days.   Here we go…..

Homework:
Spelling:  Spelling as usualJ.   Lesson 17, test is Friday.
Social Studies:  Passport testing for this month is Thursday, the 28th. We are also looking at the 13 original colonies.  A blank map and a completed one are in this packet for them to use at home. We will practice in class and have a quiz on Friday.
Science:  Rube Goldberg Machines were displayed and demonstrated today-  Woohee!  Such fun.  They all did a great job.
Math: We are starting long division this week.  Please do a few simple ones like      12/3    81/9
at home to prime the pump.  As you know long division is  difficult and it is  hard for some kids to get their heads wrapped around the fact  that it is really just math facts-both multiplication and subtraction (  J )   I will send home practice sheets with a few problems every few days, that I’d like you to watch while they do it, and correct if necessary.  Homework for parents, sorry!
Reading – 20 minutes per day.
Bible:  Jeremiah 29:11-13
Computers:  Please help them practice keyboarding at home to increase mastery. It should be a regular part of homework. Please send information about any tests that they completed.
