Hello Everyone,
Thank you to everyone that responded to my plea for adults to accompany us on field trips.  The schedule is almost full.  I have plenty of help for the Fort Vancouver trip- blessings to all of you, it is an all-day field trip and you’ll be in the bus with us (!).  I still need one more for the 3/4 and 3/19 trips to the Olympic Junior Programs,  and three more for the Nisqually National Refuge 4/17  (last year the parents that accompanied us all said it was the best field trip they had every been on with their children’s classes. So, you don’t want to miss out J .
Please remember that CCA supports two children from World Vision.  We collect an offering during the week and donate the money on Tuesdays.  Please help your child learn the value of generosity.
Homework:
Spelling:  Lesson 19
Math:   Expect long division worksheets as homework this week.  Yes, again.
Science:  Metal filings rule! I hope you got to see the “light switch” that we made in class last week.  It was very cool.  If you’d like to replicate it at home, all you need is a flashlight bulb, D battery, tin foil and a 3x5 card.  The kids should know how to do it.
Social Studies:  Taxes are Taxing,  and the Boston Tea Party  inspires politics to this day!
Computer:  Khan Academy  - please send earphones on Tuesdays.  Every Tuesday.
Passport: The test is January 29, this coming Thursday.
Reading:  20 minutes per day.  Please make sure your student is reading a chapter book.
Writing:  Our letters inviting Grandparents to Grandparents Day will come home this week.  Please  mail them out as soon as possible, or of course email.
Bible verse:  2 Corinthians 5:21

Hello Everyone
Thank you for your grace and prayers regarding my trip with my daughter to the Mayo Clinic this past week.  She didn’t get a definitive “take this pill, or have this surgery and it will be fixed “  type diagnosis, however the doctors gave some very specific directions , i.e. stop this medication,  increase this medication, etc., and are confident she will feel better.  If not, there are more tests that can be given.  Please keep her in your prayers for a full recovery.  Thank you again for the gift of time to do this with her.

Homework:
Spelling:  Lesson 17 due Friday as usual.
