December 3

1.  The box top contest is this week!  Somehow this snuck up on me, so I didn’t remember to put it in earlier letters, but I know you all were aware because some kids have already brought some in!  Keep it up! They are much appreciated.
2.  We will start labeling our maps this week, and start stripping the wire by about Wednesday. We still need a few wire strippers for the project.  Please send them in if you have some to loan. Don’t run out and buy one, we will share the ones that are collected. Thanks!! (Be sure and label them).
3. YOU ARE INVITED to Chapel on December 18th.  Our class will be doing a coral reading of “One Solitary Life” and the Names of Christ.  It will last about 15 minutes.  Chapel starts at 8:00 and all the classes will join together and sing before our big moment.  I hope you can make itJ.
4. I am sure looking forward to the music program on the 17th.  Not only do I get to hear beautiful music, but I get to see all my dear fourth graders all dressed up!  See you then.
5.  We are going to do some painting this month (don’t ask J) so you may want to send in an oversized shirt for your student to wear at those times.  We are using tempera paint, which is supposed to come out in the wash, but you never know.
6.  During our class party we wrap gifts for a homeless child.  I will talk with the class about this this week, but I thought you’d like a heads-up.  I suggest that each child bring a present ($10 or less) for a child their age and gender.  We will wrap them at the party.
