Nov 10

Dear Families,

The carnival was grand fun, and enjoyed by all due to the many hours of work from so many families.  Thank you CCA families for a safe and fun family night.  I’d like to especially thank the 4th grade families that worked on our “Football Throw” booth.   Thank you J.

Keyboarding:  One of the goals in 4th grade is to have preliminary mastery of keyboarding.  Please add 10-15 minutes of keyboarding practice to the evening routine a couple times of week.  I’d like them to have mastered the first 10 lessons by the end of the semester, January 24.  When they pass a test (after several lessons) the program asks them if they’d like to print a certificate. Please do that and send it in or you could email me and tell me each TEST that they passed.  The program that we use is  freetypinggame.net.   It is free if you can put up with ads.

Nov 4

Dear Families,

A few questions this week:   I know several of the kids asked about attending Pleasant Valley Camps.  There is a Winter Camp that happens during our mid-winter break. 4-6 grades 2/17-2/20. See www.pleasantvalleycamp.org for more information.            Also, I need a volunteer to make, but don’t sand, 17 pieces of wood cut from a 1” x 4” piece of wood.  Each piece should be about 9” long.  If you could help with this, I could send a sample home with your child if you’re not sure about what I mean. I am sure I am as clear as mud.  L
