Dear
Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful
Thanksgiving. I went to visit family in Arkansas. It was good to see everyone-
it has been three years! One of the
things CCA does in December is Adopt-a Family through City Gates. I have included some more information
about the family and their needs on the back of this letter. If you are able to
send in a gift, please don’t wrap it. We will have a wrapping party the day they are
due, December 15. I’d like to have some
cookies to share during that time. Please email if you can provide some
cookies. Thanks J
Homework:
Spelling: Lesson 11. Short U .
Workbook and test are Friday, DECEMBER 9
Math: Next week, we will practicing multiplication with 7’s.
The mixed test on multiplication 0-7 will be Friday the 9th
Passport: December Passport went home today. The test is 12/15
Reading/LA:
Read Read Read! Reading calendar went home today. Also, Key boarding 2-3 times a week.
PE PAC Paper went home todayt.
It I due 1/5/17
Bible: We
will be learning the names of Jesus in class.
Keyboarding: One of the goals in 4th grade is
to have preliminary mastery of keyboarding.
Please add 10-15 minutes of keyboarding practice to the evening routine
a couple times of week. They like to hunt and peck, so keep an eye on them and make sure they are
keeping fingers in the “home row” position.
I’d like them to have mastered
the first 10 lessons by the end of the semester, January 24. When they pass a test with 20 words per
minute (after several lessons) the program asks them if they’d like to print a
certificate. Please do that and send it in with your child or you could email
me and tell me each TEST that they passed.
The program that we use is freetypinggame.net.
It is free if you can put up with ads.
