Hello Everyone,
        I hope you heard all about our trip to Nisqually Wildlife sanctuary.  It was great!! I hope you all got your 4th Graders in the Park passes that they gave us.  They are worth $80 and let your fourth grader and their families into any national park in the country, while they are fourth graders.  They expire at the end of the summer.
       We have another trip coming this week, and I know a few parents have said they are planning to help.  I am so sorry, but I can’t remember who has talked to me.  Please EMAIL me to let me know.  Thank you.

Spelling:  Lesson 27- More prefixes
Social Studies “What happened in between?”
Math:   Adding and subtracting fractions.
Science  Electricity and  STEM Bizkids  If you would like to donate a Tri-Fold or two to our Innovation Fair, we would appreciate it.  Remember these are team efforts and the team is showing off their project, via Tri-Fold  on May 12 at  6:30.   
Reading   Calendars were due today. Tomorrow there is a 10% reduction, Wednesday 25% , and Thursday,  0 credit.
Bible:  - Psalm 103: 8-12 We are looking at the attributes God.   
Computers:  Key boarding is homework.  We are working mostly on coding for the rest of the year in the lab.

If you would like donate some small flowers (perennials or annual as long as they are small) for us to use it would be much appreciated.  We would also like to borrow some trowels (be sure and put your name on them) for the day. Hello Everyone,
Greetings and salutations!  I look forward to another interesting and fun week. 
        
Homework:
Spelling:  Lesson 24.  This is a review week.
Social Studies: Listen for questions about Taxing Taxes and “The Boston Massacre” Did you hear about the Time Traveler that came to visit us?
Math:   Expect more 3-4 problem assignments this week. Parents need to sign- after checking that the answers are correct
Science   Electricity!
Reading – 20 minutes per day.   
Bible:  Mark 12:30-31  (I know I said we’d do the rest of Psalm 139- but not this week J)
Computers:  Please send information to me about any tests that they complete at home!

Hello Everyone,
Greetings and salutations! I am glad that spring is right around the corner,   but the spring rush has begun:) - look at the long list of upcoming events!         

Homework:
Spelling:  I gave out the spelling lesson 23
Social Studies: Listen for a question about the French and Indian war and what in the world that has to do with the Revolutionary War.   
Math: We will begin two digit x two digit multiplication this week, whoohee it is hard.  Expect more 3-4 problem assignments this week. 
Science Electricity and Magnets-  We all enjoy this series of lessons!
Reading – 20 minutes per day.   
Bible: Psalm 139  1-3 (next week it will be 1-6)
Computers:  Please send information to me about any tests that they complete at home!

Hello Everyone,

Homework:
Spelling:  Spelling as usualJ.   Lesson 19- Contractions
Social Studies:  We are continuing to look at the colonies. We finally had the map test.    
Math: We are continuing to work on long division this week.  Please help your student do the included division problems WITH you or another older person who knows how to do long division.   Then sign it that they have the correct answer and that the procedures are correct. ( Divide, Multiply, Subtract, check and bring down)There will be an assignment every day. 
Reading – 20 minutes per day.   
Bible:  1 Corinthians 2:12
Computers:  Many students improved considerably during the last few weeks.   Please continue to help them practice keyboarding at home to increase mastery. It should be a regular part of homework. Please send information to me about any tests that they complete at home!

February 11-  Grandparent’s Day- The kids came home with invitations for their grandparents or special friends last week, I hope they gave them to you!! We will all meet in the classroom at 12:45 for a presentation and then go up to the gym for the formal reception.  If grandparents live too far away, how about inviting someone in the neighborhood or from church?   My son invited a grandfatherly man from church one year and they had a blast!!
